Rating: PG-13 Director: Joss Whedon I made some good progress on the Marvel movies with my dad but I decided to write about this one. This movie started out with a bang as we see the Avengers immediately fighting and going after something that hasn't even been explained yet. It was cool to see them work together while Iron Man was doing what he does best, which is using Jarvis and his brain in order to break in to where they need to go. I’m a little confused on how Strucker and HYDRA got their hands on Loki’s scepter but I’m glad they went into the base so we can see Wanda and her brother. I recognized Wanda but at first I thought her brother was Vision but realized it was her twin. Iron Man wanting to create an artificial intelligence peacekeeping program to replace the Avengers but having it completely backfire was so epic to see. His team was supposed to hopefully not be used anymore, but eventually had to fight Ultron themselves. I think Wanda and Pietro have awesome abilities that make them a dynamic duo. Wanda and Pietro start off on Ultron’s side but after realizing he was trying to destroy mankind, switched to the Avengers side knowing they weren’t going to be very liked which was cool. Another cool thing that was incorporated into this movie was the creation of Vision. I have heard of Wanda Vision the TV show, but was always super confused on how the two characters came about. Now I know Wanda was the result of Strucker’s experiment and Vision was originally produced from Ultron in a machine built by Helen Cho but was given life by the Mind Stone with the help of Thor. There were so many people introduced in this movie that makes it so important to talk about. Not only were new characters introduced but the plot of the Avengers having to come together to defeat something originally created to replace them as peacekeepers was a genuinely enjoyable idea to see play out on screen. At first I was a little confused because of all the places they were jumping back and forth from, thanks to Wanda’s powers, but eventually it was all starting to make sense to me. Captain America: Civil War is two movies away from this one in the timeline and the fact that this movie sets up the tension between Captain America and Iron Man is important. There was a lot that happened in this movie that needed to be processed, but in the end it's what makes the movie so good. I have yet to be disappointed by the Marvel movies I have watched so far due to all of them being so brilliant. I have enjoyed watching the movies that tell the stories and plot lines of each Avenger, but I really love the ones where they all come together and use their different powers to defeat the enemy at hand, welcoming newcomers along the way.
