Rating: PG-13 Director: Shawn Levy I really did enjoy this movie. Yes I understand it is a Netflix original, but I sat down and watched it with my mom and I don’t regret watching it. I appreciated that it was a Ryan Reynolds film because every movie he acts in, just seems to be a version of himself. I think the best actor though had to be the kid. Young Adam Reed did a great job portraying all the emotions and confusion he felt. The plot was definitely interesting and that shocked me because it is something I’ve never really been interested in. I have never been fascinated by sciencey movies but somehow this was very enjoyable to watch. The cast was excellent, not just Ryan Reynolds, but Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana, I guess maybe because 2 of those 3 mentioned are in Marvel movies, but despite that, they played excellent parts in this movie. I think I enjoyed how it was able to make me laugh but also keep me on the edge of my seat by trying to determine what was going to happen. It was kind of sappy when old Adam was able to see his dad again as well as young Adam back in time before his accident. I was really hoping that the dad was able to come back somehow to the present day, but I think the ending of everything returning to the way it was before and going back to the proper timelines makes sense. I also thought it was a beautiful movie with the cinematography, lighting and just everything put into the movie all worked out wonderfully. There’s so many aspects to this movie that allowed it to be different than anything I’ve ever seen but I think that’s what made me appreciate it so much. Trailer: youtu.be/IE8HIsIrq4o

Rating: PG-13 Director: Anthony and Joe Russo I'm kind of upset that I finished the Marvel phases 1-3 by finishing Endgame. Everything I have been waiting for in the Marvel Universe is basically *boom* over. I’m really glad Abigail forced me to start the Marvel movies and told me to watch them in timeline order because otherwise I would have been more confused. I have been watching these movies for a little under a year. I started in June last year and watched them with my dad and sister before she returned to Auburn for vet school. When she went back to school my dad and I stopped watching them until January when I knew I needed to get to Endgame, so I was very forceful about it. I could have watched them myself, but it was cool to have something like this to do with my dad. Endgame was a great ending to phases 1-3 and I am very pleased, besides Iron Man dying, but I understand why and it makes the perfect finish for those characters. I don’t know why I’m reluctant to continue watching the movies such as Shang-Chi despite the raving reviews I’ve heard about it. Usually movies that are 3 hours feel like forever and aren’t enjoyable, but this movie was the opposite for me. I never wanted it to end and it was the perfect time for that movie because personally I felt satisfied after it ended. I knew about what happened in the last hour of the movie before starting the Marvel movies because it was on TV one day and my mom wanted to watch it. I’m glad that I saw the ending beforehand because I was able to prepare myself for the disappointing death. I didn’t feel like it was ruined for me because I didn’t even understand what was going on when at first watching it, so it was ok that I saw it because I needed to see the backstories and who everybody was. There is so many things in this movie that was perfect and satisfying. When Captain America was able to grab Thor’s hammer, it was AMAZING. I think my jaw dropped when that happened because of how perfect it was to see on screen. I also teared up a little when everybody came back from being dust and they all huddled together to defeat Thanos. This film had great content but was also beautifully made. The colors in it and all the different shots and scenes were fantastic. This definitely is in my top 5 favorite movies because of how it is enjoyable for the entire 3 hours, which doesn’t happen very often. I thought it was cool how Captain America was able to get his dance with Peggy, but honestly every storyline and character had a satisfying ending. I have nothing but positive comments to make about this movie and could watch it many more times, it was wonderful and pleasing. Trailer: youtu.be/TcMBFSGVi1c Rating: PG-13 Director: Rian Johnson This movie was absolutely fantastic! Sometimes murder mysteries can be boring because of their predictability or the way its played out in a movie, however that was not the case with Knives Out. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the entire thing and never found myself bored. I liked how they kept making you think it was a suicide because you truly couldn’t figure out who the killer was. I had a feeling it wasn’t a suicide but I went along with it because I thought the movie was playing a trick on the audience. I think the casting was incredible. Jamie Lee Curtis, Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Katherine Langford, Don Johnson, and Ana de Armas were all wonderful in their parts and really made the story come alive. I liked how they would give you parts of what happened that night through flashbacks and then go back to the present leaving you to question “whodunnit.” I’m not very good at determining the killers in a murder mystery, but usually my mom can. For this movie, she wasn’t able to guess which means the way this movie played the story out was very engaging. It was hard for me to see Chris Evans as the bad guy because of the Marvel movies I have been watching whenever I can, but what made it fun was to see him play a different role than a hero. I think his acting was impressive and embodied the villain part perfectly. The whole time I was fooled thinking he was the nice one helping Marta out when really he was trying to frame her. I really loved the ending when Marta was sipping her coffee peacefully looking down on the rest of the family showing them they no longer belong in the house. Harlan was such a cutie and I hate that it was the sweet elderly person who died, but the story between him and Marta was really cute. I hate that Marta was made to feel like she killed him when in reality Ransom purposefully tried to kill his own grandfather through Marta. In this story, money as a motive made sense, but it would be cool to see other motives for a murder mystery. I think it was brilliant to add comedy into the murder mystery because that made it all the more enjoyable. I’m excited to see the story for Knives Out 2, even though it will have a different cast. Trailer: youtu.be/xi-1NchUqMA Rating: PG-13 Director: Nick Cassavetes I have always heard people talk about this movie and how good it is, so I’ve wanted to watch it for a while but never got around to it. However this past weekend I watched Dr. Strange with my dad and Strange’s doctor friend, Christine, is Rachel McAdams who I recognized from a movie but couldn’t quite figure it out. So I looked up the movies she was in and I saw The Notebook listed. Then I told myself why not watch it since it seems to be a movie everyone has seen before. I really enjoyed it. It took me a while to figure out the elderly man reading to the elderly woman was Noah and Allie. Once I figured it out, the movie just all came together. I know there was a reason they were showing the nursing home, but I couldn’t believe it was Allie who lost her memory. Ryan Gosling was perfect in this role with Rachel McAdams and somehow James Marsden played a role, but I guess he did a fine job. I just think Noah and Allie are so cute especially as an older couple and the fact that he reads to her to help her remember even just for a little, is the cutest thing ever. I can’t believe I have never seen this movie before, but I’m just glad I did this past weekend. I enjoyed the storyline, characters and how they switched back and forth between timelines and made it connect so well. I’m really glad Allie and Noah did end up together because I hate those movies *cough cough* La La Land where they are so made for each other and don’t even end up together. This movie made me sad and happy at the same time. The old couple was just so cute but the fact that Noah still put in the effort when his kids kind of didn’t care any more was the sweetest thing ever. I really enjoyed watching this movie! Trailer: youtu.be/BjJcYdEOI0k Rating: PG-13 Director: Lin-Manuel Miranda Not going to lie, this movie took me a while to get into. From the beginning, I really enjoyed the music and songs, but I was heavily confused on what was going on. There were a lot of changes back and forth between different times which took me a while to understand what time was the present and what had already happened. Once I figured it out and the movie started actually making sense, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I guess it doesn’t help that I haven’t ever seen RENT or know anything about Jonathan Larson, but this movie helped with that. Andrew Garfield did a really great job portraying all his emotions to the viewers because everything he said or did, I was feeling as well. I also really enjoyed Vanessa Hudgens being in it because I just love her and she gives me nostalgic vibes from being in High School Musical which was my whole childhood. She also has a wonderful voice and is overall a really great actress. I appreciated all the celebrity/broadway star cameos, even though I didn’t know half of them. My mom explained a lot of who they were but I really thought it was cool that they had so many people who were famous broadway stars that helped celebrate this movie. I enjoyed that it wasn’t just about the making of the musical, but it was about Jonathan Larson and his relationships with other people. I loved the ending which was a description of what happened to him, which made me a little sad, but it was a wonderful ending. Trailer: youtu.be/YJserno8tyU Rating: R
Director: Pablo Larraín When reading what this movie was about, I knew I wanted to watch it with my mom because she liked Princess Diana. I had no idea that this movie would be so sad. From what I’ve seen and heard, Princess Diana was always a happy go lucky kind of person. This movie definitely showed the dark side behind being a part of the royal family. Everyone always assumes being part of a royal family is wonderful but this movie shows how that is not the case. I feel bad saying this, but Diana’s character in this movie made me angry a lot of the time. However I also felt bad for her at the same time. I knew her life wasn’t perfect obviously, but had no idea all the crazy things she was put through to be part of the family. The fact that they have to weigh in before and after christmas to show they had a good time and gained 3 pounds is insane. I was very shocked at the rules that were in place when they were in the castle. I was also shocked at how this took place over just 3 days. Each day felt like it took place over 3 days. When I looked up pictures of Diana at this certain Christmas, Kristen Stewart looked just like her. The costuming in this movie is awesome. I also think Kristen Stewart in this role did a pretty good job and captured the emotions Princess Diana was feeling. I had no idea Charles cheated on her with Camila, so at that part in the movie my mom was the one to explain it to me. She told me how despite being cheated on, Diana couldn’t leave the royal family because they didn’t want the secret getting out. I hate how her whole life and actions were controlled by other people. I think this movie didn’t really feel like a movie and felt a little more like a documentary because of all the individual scenes with Princess Diana herself and all her emotions. This wasn't my favorite movie but I see how important it was to be made and show the inside of being part of the royal family and the strain Diana underwent. It gave me a whole new appreciation for her and those part of the family. Rating: PG-13 Director: Jonas Poher Rasmussen This film was different from any kind of movie I’ve ever seen, especially animated ones. I originally had the English dub on, but I changed it within the first 5 minutes because I wanted to see it as the director intended. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like it, but it was pretty good. I was confused at some parts from how they stepped away from the interview and was in present time but I was still able to understand the point he was trying to get across. I knew it had to have been something about fleeing a country, but I had no idea the impact it would have on me. I was somehow hoping they would show pictures of the family at the end, just so I can put faces to a story, but I totally understand why they needed to protect their identities. I liked how at the end it was not animated and it was the real world because it makes the story so much more to connect with. The story overall was really good and it was hard at times to think about but it's definitely something that needs to be told. I’m not sure it will win because of all the other movies in that category however it was overall a good story. I wasn’t crazy about the animation because at times it would just feel like black and white lines but I think the bad animation made the story so much more important. Good animation would have drawn focus away from the story, so I understand why they spent more time with the story and less with the drawings. It’s very different from my idea of an animated film, but I was glad to step out of my comfort zone starting with a foreign film but also with a hand drawn animation style. It didn't feel like a movie and gave off more of a short film vibe. Overall I’m glad I watched this movie because it's important to see and is something very different from my everyday idea of a good movie. Trailer: youtu.be/2aRfHsMgfdg Rating: PG-13 Director: Steven Spielberg Ever since I saw the trailer of this movie right as it was coming out, I have been excited to see it. It’s not the best movie I’ve seen but it wasn’t terrible. It was meh but there was still some part of me that didn’t hate watching it. I’ve heard of some of the songs that are well known from this movie and I enjoyed listening to them. However, I’m surprised they didn’t add a song that was more well suited to today’s time. But I also understand that Spielberg wanted to keep it like the original, just better shot. I actually have the “America” song stuck in my head as I’m writing it. I haven’t seen the original movie but I was still somehow excited to see this one. Again it wasn’t fantastic compared to other films I’ve seen but I genuinely didn’t hate it. I was actually worried about it being an almost 3 hour movie, but it didn’t feel like one. It started off real slow and once it picked up and got along with it, it felt like a normal length movie. I didn’t feel like it was too long or too short. One of the best parts of the movie is Rita Moreno. She’s not in it much, but when she is in it, she’s wonderful. I was watching this movie with my mom and she told me she was in the original movie. I looked it up and the fact that she played Anita in the original made me enjoy her performance so much more. I just love every part of her and there’s no way she’s 90! Her vocal cords are still on fire and so angelic. I just absolutely love her, what a sweetheart but such a great actress. Ansel Elgort was also pretty good as well. He was enjoyable to watch as Tony. For some reason Maddie Ziegler was in it. I guess because of her skill in dancing, but again I’m confused on why she was in it other than that. Going into this movie, all I knew about it was that there were 2 people from different sides that fall in love but can’t be together because their sides hate each other. I don’t know why I didn’t think Bernardo and Riff were going to die, but when they were both stabbed I was in complete shock. I know they were the issues causing the sides to fight but it made me sad to see their bodies lay there while the police showed up and everyone else fled. I know this is the same idea of Romeo and Juliet, which is a tragedy, but again for some reason I was too hopeful for Maria and Tony to actually end up together. I think Tony’s death hit me the hardest because after all he’s been through I was really rooting for him to get his happy ending, same for Maria as well. The boy who was always just standing around confused me a lot of the time. There would be shots that focused on him for a little bit of time and then would move on with the story. I guess he acted as the spy but his role still confused me. Overall I have seen better movies but I still loved it and don’t regret watching this at all. Looking back at it, I would totally watch this again but not because it’s my favorite movie. It’s beautifully shot and the acting is enjoyable. Trailer: youtu.be/A5GJLwWiYSg Rating: PG-13 Director: Reinaldo Marcus Green This movie was fantastic! I already had high hopes for it based on what I’ve heard from others and it certainly didn't fail my expectations. The acting, story, characters and the overall movie quality itself was really amazing. I didn’t even know the Williams family had other kids so it was really cool to see the family aspect they all had as a family and actually reminded me of how my family is and how supportive they are of everything. I enjoyed seeing how Venus and Serena grew up and how they were brought into the sport despite the hardships they faced. I can see why Will Smith is nominated for best actor. I think he’s an excellent actor in general but this movie sways away from what I’ve seen him in before. I had mixed feelings about his character. I enjoyed how he always fought for his kids no matter how many times he was turned down and was even willing to be beat at times but I didn’t like how he could’ve sabotaged their careers and was overbearing a lot of the time, also low-key abusive. I think if King Richard wasn’t played by Will Smith, I wouldn’t have liked it as much because Richard himself is kind of unlikeable. I think the main problem I had with this movie was how they didn’t talk about Serena much and it was really more about Venus. I was expecting to see more about how Serena got to where she is today. I really liked the coaches as people and how much Richard fought for Venus and Serena to get a chance. The tennis match near the end of the movie where Venus was playing against a professional to win the tournament was enjoyable to watch. I’m not a huge tennis person but I knew of Venus and Serena and I’m glad they made a movie about their dad and how they came from nothing to celebrities at such young ages. Overall I think this movie discusses so much and gives a good perspective on family and just staying kids as long as you can without pressures from athletics or other things that keep kids from being kids. I’m glad this movie brings attention to Venus and Serena and their upbringing. Trailer: youtu.be/BKP_0z52ZAw Rating: PG-13 Director: Sian Heder This movie probably made my top 5 movies! It’s obviously not perfect and there are some things in the movie that don’t need to be there. However the movie had me laughing, crying, and overall I enjoyed it a lot. First of all I thought it was amazing that they used deaf actors instead of people pretending to be deaf in the movie. Ruby’s entire family is played by deaf actors which I think made it come together so much better because it was real. The actors themselves, Marlee Martin, Troy Kotsur, and Daniel Durant are absolutely amazing in this film. Every emotion they had, I was feeling alongside them which is what I believe makes a good film. A good plot, setting, costumes, etc are all necessary to help films be enjoyable, but without emotion the audience can connect to, the film goes from decent to bad. I think Ruby’s crush and relationship with Miles was unnecessary, but it didn’t ruin the film for me. The struggle Ruby had with deciding to go to college and do what she loves, singing, or stay behind to help her family was just so amazing to see play out on screen. I like the actor who plays Bernardo but he also made me angry a lot of the time. When she was late by like 20 minutes, how did he not understand her entire family is deaf and she needed to be there to help them. But I did appreciate him playing the piano for her during her audition and being supportive of her for the most part when her family wasn’t so much. I think my favorite part of the entire movie was during her audition when her family snuck to the upper part of the auditorium and then she started signing her song for them. I cried so hard at that part but it just made me so happy. I also enjoyed when she was doing her choir part with Miles and all of a sudden the noise came to a blank for a solid minute to show what it felt like to be in her family and not be able to hear anything, I completely broke down at this part. This movie definitely made me go through an emotional rollercoaster, but in a good way. It allowed me to connect with the characters and that’s what helped make it one of my top 5 favorite movies. I think this movie deserves a lot of awards because it truly is a beautiful movie technologically but also emotionally as well. Trailer: youtu.be/0pmfrE1YL4I Rating: PG-13 Director: Shawn Levy This was one of those movies that I had low expectations for, however it exceeded my expectations which I believe made the movie better. I wanted to see this movie when it first came out but only because of Ryan Reynolds. When I saw it this weekend, there was so much to love about it. The whole idea of characters living inside a game has been done before but I don’t recall any where the characters can associate/communicate themselves with the real world. It took me a little bit before I was intrigued by the whole idea, but once Guy started leveling up and getting Millie used to him, it made more sense and was a lot more interesting. When the characters kept talking about Antwan, I was expecting some big scary guy, not Taika Waititi, however he played the character exceptionally well. I originally thought he was the director of this film because I knew he directed Jojo Rabbit but also starred in it, like he did in Free Guy. When I found out he wasn’t the director, I was a little shocked to see him play a pretty major role in another director’s film, but I guess they are close friends. There was a ton of hilarious comedy in this movie on top of the actual plot. Ryan Reynolds portrayed the nerdy character very well and was funny, just like in most of his films. I really appreciated when he was fighting dude and used his glasses to pull out a shield, which happened to be Captain America’s shield while playing the MCU score. That was fantastic, but what was even cooler was they had Chris Evans watching the streaming of the video game and made a comment about what he saw. I appreciated the humor that was in this movie. I always like to look at the cast after watching it to see up and coming actors/actresses or to find people I know were in it, but just couldn’t think of their names. In this case, I didn’t know a lot of famous actors that were in this movie. For instance, Dwayne Johnson, Hugh Jackman, John Krasinski, and Tina Fey. After watching the movie, I searched on youtube where they were in the film and found out they all played voices of some kind, but never showed their faces. I actually thought it was pretty cool that all these famous actors were willing to play voices and they all did a great job. I can definitely see why this movie is up for best visual effects! Everytime Guy would put the glasses on, parts of the game became alive to him, but when he took them off it was the normal everyday surroundings. I think they did a great job defining the real world versus what is in the game. I enjoyed this movie a LOT! Trailer: youtu.be/X2m-08cOAbc Rating: PG-13 Director: Craig Gillespie I first watched this when it first came out last summer when I was at Lake Cumberland with my family. But I only saw the first portion of it because we were watching it while waiting for dinner to be ready. I haven’t ever watched it since, but I remember the first part being pretty good, well at least from what I could hear (my little cousins are quite loud). First off the soundtrack is TOP TIER AMAZING. I usually listen to pop or country music, but the soundtrack for this movie made me so happy. Every song they played fit the scene it was playing over and the music in general was just good vibes. I really enjoyed how the music was actually louder than most music is in movies because it went along with the whole badass and revenge themes. Now more about the movie itself. The casting was exceptional, especially Emma Stone. I think Emma Stone is perfect in any role because she’s just that kind of actress, but this brought out a different character for her than the usual characters she plays. In this movie she was wanting to achieve vengeance and was ‘cruel’ at times which is completely different from most of the characters she portrays which are soft and innocent. Emma Thompson was also a great choice for the Baroness role! She was downright evil the whole time and did an excellent job of playing the person who is the whole reason Cruella is who she is. The makeup and costuming is also very enjoyable. The hair wraps the Baroness wore and also the different hair colors Cruella went through were just gorgeous. But the best costuming part of the movie was the white dress Cruella wore to the black and white ball but it eventually went up in flames and became a red dress, portraying her signature color. After seeing that transition, I was just in awe. Not only was the dress itself gorgeous but the whole scene was literal perfection and eye grabbing. The beads on the dress that turned into butterflies was also an amazing sight to watch. There were many aspects of this movie that made it so enjoyable. I think every factor that makes a movie good was accomplished in this movie. The only part I was upset about was how Cruella started her dislike for dalmatians. I understood this at the beginning when she saw them kill her mother, but throughout the movie, she captures them and trains them to like her with the whistle to where they actually choose her over the Baroness. At the end, she kept the 3 dalmations when the Baroness went to jail and gave 2 of the puppies to Roger and Anita. I guess the creators of the movie want us to fill this in ourselves or have another movie coming out to show where her hatred started so her backstory could be entirely focused on in this movie. Overall, this might be one of my favorite movies because everything about it is exceptional and is just a great story to see on the screen. I HIGHLY recommend it! The puppies/dogs were also a plus because they’re so freaking adorable and it was cute how they helped Cruella and her friends steal things. Also one of the dogs names is Wink, which is just so cute. Trailer: youtu.be/gmRKv7n2If8 Rating: PG-13 Director: Greg Berlanti This movie is one that I think deserves more attention. It’s about a boy trying to come out to his friends, family and having a pen pal he eventually falls in love with. Simon himself was a great character and the fact that he was trying to find himself is so understandable at some point in life. Exploring who you are in high school is important but it’s not easy. I love how the movie constantly makes you guess who his pen pal is through showing different characters email him. As soon as you think it’s one person they do something that have you second guess if they are gay or even display what they wrote in the letters. I think the casting was pretty good. Nick Robinson portrayed Simon perfectly. He truly made you feel for him throughout the entire movie, even when his own friends were mad at him. Josh Duhamel and Jennifer Garner were amazing as the parents. They were understanding, which is awesome, and just depicted how parents should be: fun, loving, and kind. Having the dad struggle at first with it was important so Simon and him could have a heart to heart talk and become really close, which was so heartwarming to see. Not many parents will sit down with their kids after just coming out and help make them feel comfortable and accepted. The one thing that really made me mad was Martin who was a complete douchebag. He really made me want to punch him in the face every second I saw him. But I guess he had to be a jerk for Simon to have such great character development. He went from being in hiding to pulling apart his friends in order to protect his secret from Martin's blackmail to finding love and himself. Without Martin there would be no storyline because Simon wouldn’t struggle so much with who he is and trying to keep his and his pen pals' identity a secret. I also really didn’t like how they had him as a theater kid. It made me feel like he was gay because he did theater. It would have been better for him to have been a football or soccer kid because it’s not usual to have a gay kid on the team. Overall it was very enjoyable and was a movie that made me feel for Simon and his struggle with his secret. I just love this kind of movie where they get their happy ending after enduring struggles and find themselves throughout the movie. Trailer: youtu.be/E0cbWdlQg_8 Rating: PG-13 Directors: Joe and Anthony Russo WOW!!! There is so much to unpack from this movie. Ant-Man was technically the next movie in the chronological order of the series, but my dad absolutely did not want to watch that, so we went straight into Captain America: Civil War, which we were both very excited for (don't worry though because I went back and watched Ant-Man). Let’s just say we were not disappointed. First of all it was low-key another Avengers movie because of all the other Avengers that were brought into it, but instead of working together they go against each other which was really cool. Since I didn't watch Ant-Man before this there were 3 new characters introduced: Ant-Man, Spider-Man and Black Panther. I obviously knew who they were as characters, but I haven’t seen them in the movies yet and the fact that they were brought in as members to fight the other team members was cool. I feel like the fight between Iron Man and Captain America didn't actually start until a little over halfway, but I didn’t mind that because the build up for Bucky was necessary. They needed to tell a little more about him in order for him to be seen as a good guy and fight on Captain America’s side. Originally when seeing the movie poster and who was on each side, I was completely shocked until I watched the movie and then understood. Originally I thought Natasha should be with Captain America and Hawkeye would have been with Iron Man. Technically Natasha helped Captain America and Bucky out by stopping Black Panther, but was always going to try and get him to sign the Sokovia Accords. I guess it was good for Captain America to have one of his closest friends go against him in order to try and get him to sign but I understand why he didn't. It was important for him to help Bucky get through being brainwashed and getting back to normal. I think Black Panther is cool and I haven’t even watched his movie yet and I would also agree about Spider-Man. I think it's cool they were brought in to fight and help Iron Man’s side to show how strong Captain America’s side was and that it was necessary to bring in more help. I’m definitely looking forward to continuing the series and watching their own movies very soon. One thing that made me upset when watching this movie was how Vision was acting. I know most of it was under Tony Stark's orders but if he even slightly cared about Wanda, he wouldn't make her feel so controlled. Vision just always got in the way in this movie and I kind of felt bad for Wanda because both sides were controlling her a little. Either way she did what she needed to in order to help out and overall I did really enjoy this movie. One of my favorites in the timeline so far. Trailer: youtu.be/FkTybqcX-Yo Rating: PG-13 Director: Joss Whedon I made some good progress on the Marvel movies with my dad but I decided to write about this one. This movie started out with a bang as we see the Avengers immediately fighting and going after something that hasn't even been explained yet. It was cool to see them work together while Iron Man was doing what he does best, which is using Jarvis and his brain in order to break in to where they need to go. I’m a little confused on how Strucker and HYDRA got their hands on Loki’s scepter but I’m glad they went into the base so we can see Wanda and her brother. I recognized Wanda but at first I thought her brother was Vision but realized it was her twin. Iron Man wanting to create an artificial intelligence peacekeeping program to replace the Avengers but having it completely backfire was so epic to see. His team was supposed to hopefully not be used anymore, but eventually had to fight Ultron themselves. I think Wanda and Pietro have awesome abilities that make them a dynamic duo. Wanda and Pietro start off on Ultron’s side but after realizing he was trying to destroy mankind, switched to the Avengers side knowing they weren’t going to be very liked which was cool. Another cool thing that was incorporated into this movie was the creation of Vision. I have heard of Wanda Vision the TV show, but was always super confused on how the two characters came about. Now I know Wanda was the result of Strucker’s experiment and Vision was originally produced from Ultron in a machine built by Helen Cho but was given life by the Mind Stone with the help of Thor. There were so many people introduced in this movie that makes it so important to talk about. Not only were new characters introduced but the plot of the Avengers having to come together to defeat something originally created to replace them as peacekeepers was a genuinely enjoyable idea to see play out on screen. At first I was a little confused because of all the places they were jumping back and forth from, thanks to Wanda’s powers, but eventually it was all starting to make sense to me. Captain America: Civil War is two movies away from this one in the timeline and the fact that this movie sets up the tension between Captain America and Iron Man is important. There was a lot that happened in this movie that needed to be processed, but in the end it's what makes the movie so good. I have yet to be disappointed by the Marvel movies I have watched so far due to all of them being so brilliant. I have enjoyed watching the movies that tell the stories and plot lines of each Avenger, but I really love the ones where they all come together and use their different powers to defeat the enemy at hand, welcoming newcomers along the way.
