Rating: PG-13 Director: Shawn Levy I really did enjoy this movie. Yes I understand it is a Netflix original, but I sat down and watched it with my mom and I don’t regret watching it. I appreciated that it was a Ryan Reynolds film because every movie he acts in, just seems to be a version of himself. I think the best actor though had to be the kid. Young Adam Reed did a great job portraying all the emotions and confusion he felt. The plot was definitely interesting and that shocked me because it is something I’ve never really been interested in. I have never been fascinated by sciencey movies but somehow this was very enjoyable to watch. The cast was excellent, not just Ryan Reynolds, but Jennifer Garner, Mark Ruffalo, and Zoe Saldana, I guess maybe because 2 of those 3 mentioned are in Marvel movies, but despite that, they played excellent parts in this movie. I think I enjoyed how it was able to make me laugh but also keep me on the edge of my seat by trying to determine what was going to happen. It was kind of sappy when old Adam was able to see his dad again as well as young Adam back in time before his accident. I was really hoping that the dad was able to come back somehow to the present day, but I think the ending of everything returning to the way it was before and going back to the proper timelines makes sense. I also thought it was a beautiful movie with the cinematography, lighting and just everything put into the movie all worked out wonderfully. There’s so many aspects to this movie that allowed it to be different than anything I’ve ever seen but I think that’s what made me appreciate it so much. Trailer: youtu.be/IE8HIsIrq4o
